Writer's Block....

.....goes hand in hand with "Teacher's Block" this week.

This week has just been crazy. I am not sure what is in the air, but the kids have an abundance of energy and I have absolutely none! As my favorite saying goes..." I can't get out of my own way!" My desk is a mess and quite frankly - so is my classroom. And let's not even talk about the mess of ideas running through my head. Yep- it's one of THOSE weeks. 

This  leads me to my evil "catch up" plan and that is to spend one of my three days this weekend (Thank you Indigenous People!) working my butt off in the office to do planning. One day cleaning the disaster I call my home, and grocery shopping. Then, I will allow myself to spend one whole day doing nothing. Maybe watching movies or taking a nice walk. Don't tell my husband and son, but I hope they take advantage of the cool weather and get into the woods for hunting, so I can enjoy some peace and quiet:) 

So there you have it. The life of a teacher is never dull. It is basically an emotional roller coaster throughout the year. The good news is that the lows don't last forever. Ok- so neither do the highs. But- in the end it is usually a fun ride. So, we just keep getting on the ride and hope we don't throw up! Buckle- up, take a deep breath and let's do this....again.
