Regroup and Recoup
Recoup and Regroup or Regroup and Recoup?
Either way you look at it, teachers need to take advantage of their summer break to do both!
With the first full week of summer break under my belt, I find myself being able to breathe again. I have taken time to shut off my school brain for a while and just enjoy a bit of warm weather. I have started organizing my house a little and have begun exercising. (Don't worry- I am taking small steps and not getting all crazy in any area at this point.) I even started eating on a regular schedule and making sure I am writing- hence the 2nd blog post this week. So, overall, I think I may be on the recouping phase of summer.
As far as regrouping is concerned... I have purchased a new planner for the year, talked about big picture school planning stuff with my sister (fellow teacher), and am setting some personal and professional goals for the rest of summer and next year. This allows me to sit back and do some more thinking and strategizing on how to implement a solid system. My plan is to get a little schoolwork done each day so that I am not expending too much mental energy on that but am still feeling productive.
How do you recoup and regroup in the summer?
